Who we support
Support around the work your neurology practice actually performs
Get support for the enrollment, study-record or claim work your team needs help managing. Start with your clinicians, diagnostic services, payer products and existing systems.Independent neurology practices
Connect office encounters and diagnostic-study records to enrollment, billing and follow-up tasks within an agreed scope.
Neurology groups
Keep clinician additions, group relationships and location changes visible alongside the payer evidence needed for billing review.
Practices performing EEG or EMG/NCS
Identify who supplies the completed study information, who interprets it and who resolves an unanswered billing question.
Practices changing billing support
Preserve open-claim history, missing-record requests and current owners so an unresolved item keeps its context during the handoff.
Support is defined by your practice, service mix, payer requirements and authorized access. This page does not establish neurosurgery, hospital inpatient, sleep-laboratory, infusion or drug-program services. Enrollment, authorization and payment are not guaranteed.
Connected specialty support
Four support areas from provider readiness to payer follow-up
Connect enrollment, completed study records and claim follow-up. Clinical records must reflect the care provided; coding review must not change a diagnosis or interpretation to fit a claim.
Provider and group readiness
Organize provider, group and location information, payer requests and unresolved effective-date questions. Keep submitted applications separate from payer-confirmed participation.
Provider and group credentialingPayer requirement follow-up
Track the relevant payer product, proposed service, available request evidence and unresolved questions. Distinguish a request, a response and a confirmed authorization within the applicable scope.
Prior authorization supportStudy and documentation review
Connect completed EEG, EMG or nerve-conduction study information to qualified billing review. Clarify missing reports, service details or billing responsibility without assuming the same code or modifier applies to every study.
Medical coding supportClaims and unresolved balances
Preserve submission history, payer responses and posting context. Separate a rejected submission from an adjudicated denial and assign the next action within the agreed billing or follow-up scope.
Medical billing supportStudy records and payer context
A test name alone does not establish the claim
EEG, EMG and nerve-conduction studies need review against the actual service, completed record and applicable payer requirements. A clinical order, a finished study and an approved claim are different milestones.
- Actual service and setting
Identify the study performed, service date, location and responsible clinicians. Do not assume one billing arrangement applies across office and facility settings.
- Completed study information
Confirm where the completed report and supporting service information are held. Missing interpretation goes back to the responsible clinician; administrative staff do not create it.
- Applicable payer requirements
Use the relevant product and date-of-service guidance. Medicare local coverage policy must be checked for the applicable jurisdiction rather than generalized to every plan.
- Coding and unit review
Qualified reviewers check the documented service against applicable coding and edit requirements. A code combination or unit count is not justified by the specialty name alone.
Konnext administrative support does not determine which neurological tests a patient needs, interpret results or replace professional supervision. Coverage and coding questions require the actual record and applicable guidance. Do not send patient records, claim details or credentials through a public inquiry.
Payer and billing references checked October 20, 2026. This records an editorial source check, not clinical or coding approval.
Before the claim
Study and claim checkpoints
See the information needed, the team responsible and when a question needs escalation.
Provider and location
- Check
- Clinician, group, site and available payer-confirmed participation evidence.
- Owner
- Practice administrator and agreed enrollment support.
- Escalate when
- Participation or effective-date information is unresolved. Do not substitute a different provider identity.
Study and interpretation
- Check
- Completed study information and the responsible interpreting practitioner.
- Owner
- Practice clinician or diagnostic team.
- Escalate when
- The report or relevant service information is missing or inconsistent. Return the question to its clinical owner.
Payer and claim review
- Check
- Applicable product, service-date policy, documentation and billing responsibility.
- Owner
- Qualified billing reviewer and agreed authorization support.
- Escalate when
- The request response, service scope or claim arrangement does not match the available evidence.
Response and follow-up
- Check
- Submission acknowledgements, payer determination, remittance and prior actions.
- Owner
- Agreed billing or denial team and practice contact.
- Escalate when
- An item remains rejected, denied or unmatched. Record the next action and responsible owner.
Connected work, clear ownership
How neurology billing work moves forward
Follow the administrative handoff from initial setup to the next claim action. Payer decisions and clinical completion remain separate dependencies.
- 01
Define the practice scope
Identify clinicians, sites, diagnostic services, payer products and existing systems; agree the work and access required.
- 02
Map readiness and missing records
Connect provider status, payer questions and completed study information to the person responsible for each unresolved item.
- 03
Review the documented service
Route the available record to qualified billing review and return unanswered clinical questions to the practice.
- 04
Preserve the response and next action
Carry submission and payer-response history into posting or follow-up, with an owner for each exception.
Practical deliverables
What your practice receives
The included records keep evidence, missing information and next actions together. Agree their format and access before work begins.
Provider and payer status record
Fields: clinician, group, location, payer product, participation status, supporting evidence and open question. Identify the practice contact and next action; a pending request is not confirmed participation.
Study exception record
Illustrative example, not a client result. Item: EMG/NCS record incomplete. Missing: completed study information. Requested from: practice diagnostic team. Status: awaiting record. Next action: qualified billing review after the record arrives; no clinical finding is inferred.
Claim response record
Fields: submission or payer response, prior action, open question, responsible contact and next step. Keep the history with the item when responsibility changes.
Direct answers
Neurology billing and credentialing FAQs.
Questions about neurology billing support and practice responsibilities.
What can neurology billing support include?+
Agreed work can connect provider readiness, payer requirement follow-up, documentation questions, coding review, claims, posting and unresolved balances. Confirm the actual tasks, systems and responsible owners before work begins.
Can EEG and EMG/NCS claims use the same billing assumptions?+
Do not assume they can. The completed service, setting, documentation, billing responsibility and applicable requirements need review. This page does not prescribe a code, component modifier or unit count for an individual study.
Does authorization guarantee payment for a study?+
No payment guarantee follows from this page. Review what the actual response covers and keep it separate from participation, documentation and claim requirements.
Can administrative staff complete a missing clinical interpretation?+
No. The responsible qualified practitioner must complete or clarify the clinical record. Administrative support can track the request and its owner.
Is this also a neurosurgery or infusion service?+
Those services are not established by this outpatient neurology page. Describe your service mix during the assessment so any proposed scope can be checked before an engagement is agreed.
Do we have to replace our EHR?+
Start with a review of your current systems, access permissions and workflow. This page does not promise compatibility, a new integration or a required software migration.
What should we share in the assessment?+
Share your practice type, locations, systems and general operational problem. Do not submit patient records, claim details, passwords or other sensitive credentials through the public form.
